We got a call from this friend a few weeks ago who catches non-poisonous snakes on campus as and when needed. This time he had caught a dhaman snake in a school classroom in KV (apparently the snake was trying to catch a frog inside the classroom!). They were going to release the snake back into the woods near the lake and asked interested children to come and see the snake up close.
