Happy Diwali (2016)!

The boys have three weeks off for Diwali and we're in Udaipur with dada-dadi to celebrate the festival. Here are pictures from last night. Zoya participated in the festivities too via Facetime.

I bought a new phone recently and Kabir (who happens to be a gadget freak) has apparently been testing out its features. I found this video on my phone. Looks like someone had been testing the phone's selfie-video capabilities. :-)

Bicycling to the courts, playing a game of badminton and refueling with some Orange Juice and Pani-puri. How's that for a Saturday morning?

Matheran

We made a short weekend trip to Matheran last weekend to celebrate nana's 64th birthday. The stay at the MTDC resort was nice. The weather was lovely and we enjoyed the long treks and the horse ride. The trip, however, seemed too short and rushed, and a bit of a disappointment after last month's trip to Alibaug. Alibaug has now set a new benchmark for weekend trips and it looks unlikely that we will plan another visit to Matheran anytime soon!
