An afternoon in Jagmandir

This was our first time in all these years that we took a ferry ride to the Jag Mandir island and spent an afternoon exploring it. We were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and well maintained this old palace is. We had a buffet lunch sitting in the "Darikhana" part of the island. Then we explored the Gol Mahal where Shah Jahan had lived for some time in hiding. We spent an hour or so in the beautiful gardens where the kids played before taking a sunset boat ride back. Clearly, we went crazy with the camera! It was a lovely outing and Jag Mandir is now on our must-do activity for future Udaipur visits.
